REMUNERATION

The remuneration and fees of the Lawyer are regulated by the Regulation of the Ministry of Justice of the Slovak Republic No. 655/2004 Coll. on the remuneration and the reimbursement of expenses of lawyers for provision of legal services. When concluding the Legal Service Contract, the Lawyer may agree with a client on the:

Hourly Fee

It shall be determined according to the number of hours practically spent and necessary for the provision of the legal service. When charging, the Lawyer shall present the time specification of the carried out work to the client upon a request.

Flat Fee

It shall be determined by a lump-sum for the provision of legal services within a certain period of time or for an indefinite period of time or for the complete settlement of the matter or the set of matters. When charging, the Lawyer shall present the specification of the carried out work to the client upon a request.

Tariff Fee

It shall be determined on the ground of the base rate derived from the value of a case or the type of the matter and the right and the number of acts carried out by the Lawyer in the matter.

Proportionate Fee

It shall be determined by a portion of the value of a thing being the subject of the proceeding before the court or any other authority, as long as the result of the proceeding is unsure based on the circumstances of the case. This fee may not exceed 20 % of the value of the thing. It may be claimed in the case of success in the matter.

Combined Fee

It shall be determined as a combination of the above fees.

The Lawyer shall be entitled to a reasonable advance payment for the provision of the required legal service.
